EVE Energy Co., Ltd.

EVE Energy Co., Ltd. is a Chinese battery manufacturer founded in 2001 in Huizhou. EVE produces a broad range of lithium primary and secondary cells, and is widely known in the DIY-solar and energy-storage community for its large-format LFP prismatic cells such as the LF105, LF90K and LF280K.

BatteryDays decodes EVE cell codes (manufacturer code 02Y) into chemistry, capacity, voltage and production date.

How to check an EVE battery QR code

EVE prismatic LFP cells such as the LF280K carry a QR code on the casing. Scanning it with a phone camera gives you the cell's code: a 24-character string, not a web link. That string is what the BatteryDays decoder reads.

Paste the scanned string into the decoder. The first three characters identify the manufacturer (EVE cells decode from the manufacturer code 02Y), characters 4 and 5 give the product and battery type, and characters 15 to 17 hold the production date: one letter for the year, one character for the month and one for the day.

A decoded date tells you how old the cell is, and a code that does not decode as EVE, or whose printed text differs from the QR string, is a warning sign. Decoding cannot prove a cell is genuine on its own: match the decoded date and batch against the seller's paperwork and the manufacturer's own traceability service.
